FAQ

How long does it take to receive my order?

We’re usually able to ship within a few days of an order. We don’t maintain a large inventory of completed products and we ALWAYS have components in production queue… It is not uncommon that we’ll have some odds and ends to complete before we’re ready to ship an order. If there is going to be a delay beyond this timeframe, we’ll reach out and make sure that’s ok with you. If you have a date you need to receive something by, please let us know and we’ll do our very best to meet this.

Do you do commissions / commissioned works?

Yes, we are definitely interested in commissioned works - we enjoy site specificity and enjoy the process of developing works in relation to context. We do have extremely limited time and other resources, so the fit needs to be just right for us to be able to take on a commissioned project. Best thing to do is reach out directly to us and we’ll start a conversation and we can pretty quickly determine some parameters and figure out if the project will be something we can all consider further.

We would like to include you in an exhibition, have you give a talk, run a workshop, etc… Would you be interested / available?

You can be pretty sure that we’re interested… The larger constraint is availability - time is certainly the most limited resource. Please let us know what you’re thinking and as much as you can about the context and we’ll be able to let you know if it might be possible and we can begin to work through details from there.

I received my order, but I am not happy with it / changed my mind / etc. What is your return policy?

We of course want you to be happy with your purchase. Generally, we expect that you’ll be happier once you see and hold it than we’re able to communicate through photographs. First step, please let us know. We’ll give you shipping instructions back to us. Once we receive the product in unused condition, we’ll issue a refund for the purchase price.

I’d like to include your products in my retail store. Do you offer wholesale pricing?

While we would love to reach the larger audience we might with our products placed in your store, we are not able to offer wholesale pricing. Everything we make is very labor intensive and our profit margins are not wide enough to offer traditional wholesale pricing. There are exceptions on occasion: we have done limited edition products for a specific context. Sometimes there might be a mutual marketing / promotion value that could make it worthwhile for us. If you have a creative idea, please reach out and ask us. We do like building partnerships and will always be open to new possibilities.

I have an idea for a product that I would like to have prototyped - or - my company needs to have this specific thing fabricated, it looks like you might be able to do it - or - I have an idea and need help with design, fabrication, production, etc - do you do these things???**

Yes! Please reach out. We are interested in pursuing commercial projects - and can offer a wide range of services. In this framework, we have these categories of services:

design consultation - design - prototyping - fabrication - production

Many jobs or projects require work in multiple categories, but this gives us a good framework to discuss what we can do, how we approach things, and what our rates are. We do have a very limited time resource, and we are not the best match for every project - so we are careful to only take on the projects that are the right match for us.
